Note that Pyxis Pages will be replaced soon with Pyxis Newsimpo - Imposition for Newspapers.

Pyxis Newsimpo has many of the features of Pyxis Pages, and one very important new one. It can be easily setup to impose pages from remote web servers in addition to local computers.  You also have total control over creating registration marks and colour bars. In fact, you can create an unlimited number of both at whatever size and colours best suit your needs. Other new features include the ability to reject page files above a certain size, in addition to the frequency for double checking file names and file sizes. If a designer makes a change to a page before the job is finished processing, this will be picked up by the application and the page replaced with the new one. Regardless of 'double check' frequency entered by the user, the application always double checks every page before the job is completed. Pyxis Newsimpo also has a continually updating Job Log, so you can see exactly what's happening at any time. A colourful Plate Table presents a simple overview of job progress. A trial version for Apple Mac computers (including Yosemite) is currently available. A PC version will be ready for beta testing within the next 6 - 8 weeks. Please contact us if you are interested in a trial of this product.

Pyxis Pages has been superseded by Pyxis NewsImpo (see above).

Pyxis Pages is a new software product that automates the imposition of pages on a web printing press.

Pyxis pages is designed to arrange single PDF source pages into imposed sets of 4-up positioned and ready for plate-making. While the application was developed for use with a web printing press, it can be used with any similar workflow.

Pyxis Pages automates the process by continually monitoring a single source folder for new pages, as they are designed. Page order is determined by a set of seven interdependent algorithms, designed to meet the requirements of a web press. Up to 4 sections can be imposed at any one time; each section can have a maximum of 992 pages.

Refer to the brochure menu link, that will take you to a pdf document that explains how the application works, in considerable detail.

A beta release for Apple Mac computers is available for trial. However, this is not on the download list so please contact us for your free 30 day trial.

We can customise this application to meet the requirements of almost any work-flow.
