Quick Response codes are becoming really poplar in parallel with the rapidly increasing usage of smart phones and tablets. To meet a demand in the print sector that enables printers produce these codes instantly, Pyxis has developed an application to convert any URL (web address) into either a png or pdf code for use in printing or on the web. This application enables printers and sign-makers to create these codes with just one click and add them to all kinds of printed items including signs and point of sale material. Pyxis QR produces high quality quick response codes, perfect for high resolution printing.

QR codes are comprised of a series of square, black dots arranged on a square grid. They are essentially two dimensional bar codes. Thees codes can be read by a quick response code reader application on a smart phone, which automatically opens the relevant url.
Quick Response codes are being used in a wide range of circumstances. They were originally developed by a Japanese compony, Denso, for keeping track of car parts. Today they are often used on advertisements, as discount coupons and promotions, on machinery to show operating instructions, in children's play areas (to take them to online games), and more recently on headstones, where one can go to an online web page to find out more about the deceased and their family. There appears to be almost no limit to potential uses for this technology.
